This Privacy Policy outlines the operational boundaries and data handling practices for ReelDetox: Reels in Limits ("the Application"), developed by Goyal Infocom. The Application functions as a digital wellness utility engineered to empower users to manage screen-time distribution across short-form media platforms.
The Application does not collect, log, transmit, process remotely, or commercialize any personal information, behavioral profiles, device identifiers, or telemetric diagnostics. Because network sockets cannot be initiated by the binary, data exfiltration is physically prevented by the Android sandbox architecture.
To perform intentional user-directed interventions, the Application requires specific local permissions:
android.permission.BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE): Used solely to detect when short-video screens (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok) become active in the foreground and observe scroll gestures. This enables the calculation of active session metrics and permits display of the blocking overlay when quotas are met. The service is strictly programmed never to inspect text inputs, passwords, communications, or personal credentials.android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Serves as an optional baseline fallback to determine foreground window timing when Accessibility services are unavailable.android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Maintains high-precision session timers across app transitions to prevent premature quota termination.android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Generates local alerts regarding remaining daily view allocations.All user configurations, quotas, and historical screen records reside in private encrypted app storage. Deleting the application via Android OS or executing "Clear Storage" in system settings permanently removes all local traces immediately.
